Last Fall announced a pilgrimage with Bishop Oscar Cantú in October 2026. The 2026 Pilgrimage date is being moved to February 11 – 21, 2027, to allow Catholic school educators to join during their winter break and to give everyone more time to make payments. Please indicate on the interest form which year, 2027 - 2030, you are interested in attending. Bishop Cantú invites you to prayerfully consider joining him on pilgrimage to Mexico: walking together to the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe and along the path of Saint Christopher Magallanes, Blessed Miguel Pro, and the other Cristeros Saints.
If you search for the word “vacation” in the Bible, your results will come up empty. You also won’t find Jacob rounding up the kids to go to Universal Studios Canaan or Joseph and Mary taking Jesus and his brothers to Disney of Galilee. While those facts may make you think that vacations thus are “unbiblical,” I don’t think the absence of the word or our picture of vacations means this is the case for a couple of reasons.
Members of Bridges to Community, THANK YOU to our parishioners for your very generous donations of 160 children’s backpacks and 170 gift cards for families with limited income in our area. We donated 130 backpacks and all the $25 gift cards to Alta Housing for the children who live in their affordable housing communities. We also donated 30 backpacks to St. Leo School in San Jose for some of their families in need.
Thank you to everyone who volunteered to donate blood at our summer blood drive. Special thanks to the 7 first-time donors. When blood is needed, it is only available because someone was willing to give. On July 26, 29 units of blood were collected. On behalf of the patients you will help, we thank you.
We educate and motivate the Catholics of our diocese, and all our neighbors, about our moral responsibility to take immediate action to address the “social and environmental crisis” of creation.
This month, the Pope’s prayer intention is for respect for human life. People who live with a mental illness can lead lives of faith and courage. But all too often, the lives of people who are struggling with a serious mental illness are not valued and shown respect.
We continue to compensate our parish staff, commensurate with their dedication and professionalism, budget for a significant increase in our property, liability, and health insurance, as well as electricity and water, and provide funding for all programs, ministries, and outreach.
As we soon embark on the Campaign for Spiritual Renewal, we will maintain our weekly Sunday Offertory goal at $24,385. This is the amount we need each week to meet our financial responsibilities. We encourage you to prayerfully discern a 5-10% increase in your weekly or monthly donation.
Our grief group is for those who seek consolation after the death of a loved one, whether the death is recent or long ago. We give voice to our unique journeys of grief and find healing and spiritual growth.
This is a 6-week program in which each week builds on the previous one through information, discussion, sharing, reflection, and Scripture. We come together in a small/intimate gathering to share from our hearts and listen to one another.
Sowing Seeds of Faith is a diocesan-wide campaign for spiritual renewal that supports our Pastoral Plan, Renewed in Christ, Together in Mission. Unlike a typical capital campaign focused on buildings, this effort is about renewing our mission — strengthening faith formation, supporting vocations, reaching the disengaged, and helping every parish bring the Pastoral Plan to life in their community.
Thank you for your interest in World Youth Day Seoul 2027. Please fill out the form below and also be added to the diocesan list of interested pilgrims for WYD in Seoul, August 2027, with Pope Leo!
The Institute for Leadership in Ministry is a 3-year course of study for the laity. The ILM provides training and faith formation for lay leaders in the Church. The theological base for this program is found in the documents of the Second Vatican Council. Responding to their baptismal call, graduates return to their parish to serve in various leadership roles in Liturgy, Catechetics, Social Justice, Pastoral Care, and many others.
