Now is the time to think about World Youth Day, Seoul, Korea for August 2027!

This event is for 16 to 35 year olds. If your family has not participated in this event, we definitely encourage your youth to attend! We will confirm if parents are needed for minors, although we have JJ and possible other adults who could chaperone, maybe even one of your young adults!

The cost is up to $5-6K per person. In other words, it is time to start fundraising and saving!

While registration is not open yet, our diocese is looking to put a package together for everyone interested. This is the best way to attend, with a group that has put together a package versus trying to do this on your own. You must sign up to get notified so you do not miss out. As a parish, we ask you to plan to attend through the diocese efforts for best planning.

What we are asking you to do is to forward this to your teen/young adult and talk to them about this amazing trip of a lifetime. In 2023 for WYD in Lisbon, Pope Francis' last WYD, about 354,000 pilgrims from more than 200 countries were registered, including 688 bishops, and the event was aided by 25,000 volunteers. The closing Vigil and Mass had an estimated 1.5 million attendees.
