Confirmation for YouthIs your child approaching adolescence and ready to take a stronger role in their faith? Confirmation empowers them to do just that. Considered a milestone in the Catholic faith, Confirmation strengthens the foundation laid in Baptism and equips them with the Holy Spirit's gifts. This is their chance to make a conscious choice about their faith journey and become a full member of the Catholic community. It's a meaningful step that supports their spiritual growth and fosters a lifelong connection to the Church.

Open to all 7th - 12th Graders who have been Baptized and received First Communion.Confirmation Classes 2025-2026
10/05/2025 - Class #1 Orientation (Parent or Sponsor attendance)
10/19/2025 - Class #2 What is confirmation, Sacraments of initiation
11/02/2025 - Class #3 Proofs of God's existence. (Parent or Sponsor attendance)
11/16/2025 - Class #4 Prayer. What is Prayer, how do we pray?
12/07/2025 - Class #5 Gifts of the Holy Spirit. (Parent or Sponsor attendance)
01/11/2026 - Class #6 Saints Project explanation/ what is a Saint?
01/25/2026 - Class #7 Jesus in the Eucharist and Mass/Adoration. (Parent or Sponsor attendance)
03/01/2026 - Class #8 Marriage, Holy orders, anointing of the sick, confession.(Parent or Sponsor attendance)
03/15/2026 - Class #9 The Bible
04/12/2026 - Class #10 Present saint projects in class (Parent or Sponsor attendance)
04/19/2026 - Class #11 What confirmation is/ what to expect on the day of, Questions?
May - Exit conversations will be scheduled in May.
REQUIREMENTS
Requirements to enroll in the Confirmation Prep Program:
Has received the Sacraments of Baptism and First Communion.
If you received your Baptism or First Holy Communion at St. Nicholas St. William, then you do not need to submit your documents.
If you are missing one of these Sacraments, you must be enrolled in OCIA for youth.
Requirements to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation at Saint Nicholas Saint William Catholic Parish in addition to the above:
Saint project: more details in orientation
Exit interviews: more details in orientation
Sponsor: find someone you trust, and who has a relationship with God to help guide you.
Mandatory Confirmation Retreat (date in Spring)
Confirmation Date: We will announce once we know!
Absences: Attend in person at least 9 out of 11 Classes with 2 makeup assignments completed.
Attend weekly Sunday Mass
Regular Edge attendance.
1 attendance is mandatory for Edge Service day. (Date will be sent out)
1 attendance is mandatory for Virtus Lesson Safe Environment
EDGE Middle School Ministry is required alongside Confirmation preparation. When registering your child for Confirmation, please also register them in EDGE
